Jane Mutch – Headteacher

Jane began her teaching career in 1999 as a Reception teacher.  She has taught across the primary key stages, later becoming an Assistant Head, then Deputy Head at her previous school. As a staff governor, she played a key role during the expansion, amalgamation and building works at her last school.  Jane has a wealth of experience in curriculum design and development, staff development and teacher training.

Auriol Hale – Assistant Head and Year 2 Teacher

Mrs Hale completed teacher training in Church of England schools through the London Diocesan Board for Schools. She specialised in the Early Years Foundation Stage and maths. After qualifying she taught in central London and then spent a year teaching in New Zealand.

Harry Doyle – Assistant Head and Year 4 Teacher

Harry Doyle is new to St Mary’s CE this academic year, having previously taught in the London Borough of Hounslow and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Harry has led a range of subjects throughout his teaching career – most recently maths, where he contributed to raising children’s attainment through the development of reasoning and problem solving skills across a school. Harry is equally enthusiastic about children’s writing and brings with him a depth of knowledge regarding Pie Corbett’s writing strategies.

Vivien West – SENCo

Mrs West has been teaching for 20 years in a range of London schools.  She was originally an English teacher but has been specialising in SEN for the last 5 years. She has a strong commitment to ensure every child receives the support and guidance that they need in order to have a positive and enjoyable educational experience.

Lorna Claydon – Year 1 Teacher

Miss Claydon is a Junior Primary trained teacher with extensive experience of teaching in South African and Australian schools as well as running her own Tuition business. This is her second year as a Year One teacher here in London. She has a specialist interest in teaching English as a second language as well as developing creative support structures to ensure every child thrives and believes that they can do anything they put their mind to doing!

Hina Malik – Year 3 Teacher

Madelyn Ellison – Reception Teacher

Ms Ellison trained to be a primary teacher and high school science specialist in Australia.  She has experience working across all year groups from Nursery up to Year 6.  She enjoys encouraging children to question the world around them and to take an interest in science from a young age.

Sadaf Obaid – HLTA

Sadaf has worked as a Teaching Assistant for 14 years in a variety of schools, ranging from Montessori, private, mainstream and SEN.  She brings with her a wealth of experience and a passion for working with children from different cultures and backgrounds.

Kamaljit Sangha – HLTA

Kamaljit is committed to raising the standard of teaching and learning. She brings many years of experience and a passion for learning. Kam has previously worked as a nursery nurse and pre-school assistant in various settings.

Stacey Jones – TA

Luidmila Toms – SMSA

Luidmila has worked in education since 1999 both in Russia and the UK. She has also worked as a nanny and as a volunteer within Children’s Centres. Luidmila holds First Aid and Food Hygiene certificates.

Jane Maqbool – Administrator

Jane brings over 20 years’ experience to the team and is delighted to support the Trustees and the Head in the running of St Mary’s School. Being a local resident for most of her life, she is excited to be a part of this Church of England school in Norwood Green.

Lee Plummer – Site Manager

Lee is an experienced Site Manager and has a passion for site security and the safeguarding of our children.  He also takes great pride in ensuring that our school always looks its best.
